League of Minnesota Poets Woodtick retreat reading event with Brother Timothy Frantzich

Heartland Poets and the Crossing Arts Alliance will be hosting a poetry reading and special musical performance by Brother Timothy Frantzich at the Last Turn Saloon and Eatery in Brainerd on Friday, July 20, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Poets from around the state attending the 25th annual League of Minnesota Poetry summer retreat in Northern Minnesota will be reading at the event. The event will also welcome community members to share their poetry.  This event is free and open to the public.  The Heartland Poets and Crossing Arts Alliance encourage the public to attend this unique experience of the literary arts.

The Heartland Poets is a group of Central Lakes Minnesota Poets who meet on a monthly basis to share their love of writing and appreciation of poetry.  This non-profit group is dedicated to encouraging poetry in all forms and meets monthly at the Brainerd Public Library to share their collective diverse knowledge. The group encourages new members who want to learn and share poetry.

Brother Timothy Frantzich is a singer, songwriter and storyteller who “loves cavorting with poets”.  Frantzich, a native Minnesotan, has toured and traveled extensively throughout the United States and United Kingdom performing at numerous poetry conventions and events.
